Helping Transgender Consumers under the FCRA
- Registration Closed
Credit and background reporting problems can be frustrating for any consumer to resolve. But transgender consumers face unique challenges when confronting these problems. They often encounter common issues with the way consumer reporting agencies deal with their gender transition. Further, the effects of those practices can be especially harmful to transgender consumers, as they impose crushing emotional burdens and may even open them up to discrimination. This webinar will help you advise transgender clients proactively, and it will also arm you with the tools to litigate these claims when necessary. Some basic knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) would be helpful.
What You Will Learn
• What are common issues confronting the transgender community regarding credit/background reporting
• How to proactively advise transgender clients on ways to mitigate and/or be aware of common problems
